DR. DAVID YUHAN (AND HIS WIFE, GRACE)
David, who used to be an engineer in Korea and became a
businessman after his immigration to the US in 1978, was
called by the Lord to serve His church in 1985. After
graduation from Westminster Seminary California in 1988 and
being ordained as a pastor of KAPC in the same year, he
planted New Life Presbyterian Church in Orange County,
California and served the church for 16 years. While serving
New Life PC, David had become involved in foreign mission,
visiting many mission fields to teach the Bible and theology
for indigenous students, and future pastors. In order to
prepare himself for more active foreign missions he
established New Life World Vision in 2002 and retired from
his pastoral ministry in 2004.
David moved residence to Cambodia in 2008 after being
commissioned by Foreign Mission Board of KAPC, initially to
assist another missionary in the capacity of vise director
of Pastoral Education. Later, he worked with two other
missionaries to establish and run Westminster Theological
College and Seminary in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Currently
David is the Vise Chancellor and Academic Dean of the
school, and Grace teaches ESL at the school. David and Grace
are now living in Cambodia, counting themselves much blessed
to be chosen as the Lord’s “unworthy servants.”
REV. DANIEL KIM (AND HIS WIFE, YOUNG)
Daniel came to the United States to study for his Social
Work degree at the University of Tennessee (1975-78).
Working as a social worker for a while, Daniel soon realized
the marginal impact and the limitation of the social
services, losing his confidence in it. It turned Daniel to
be a language instructor (1979-1985) while teaching the
Youth Group in a local church. Through studying God’s Word
and teaching the Youth Group he was firmly convinced of the
transforming power of His Word, eventually received a call
from the Lord, and decided, in his mid-40’s, to pursue his
theological training at Westminster Seminary California
(WSC) (1985-1988). After being ordained in KAPC, he planted
Korean Immanuel PC in Portland, Oregon, and served it for
ten years (1993-2003).
In 2003, Daniel was called to serve the LORD through mission
works. Since then, he has been serving the Lord by devoting
himself to teaching native church leaders and seminarians in
various foreign countries. He used to make about five trips
abroad per year. Now he makes two trips to Cambodia to serve
for six months a year. His wife, Young, accompanies him on
mission trips and she teaches Christian Family Life,
Educational Ministry, and Biblical Counseling. Daniel and
Young reside in California for about a half of the year.
