Itinerant Teaching Missions

  1. Since 2001 NLWV missionaries have visited numerous seminaries, bible schools, pastoral institutes, churches, and other non-traditional groups in Brazil, Guatemala, Cambodia, China, India, Korea and Myanmar, Russia, etc. Some places are visited regularly and repeatedly (once or twice a year) and other places intermittently in order to train current and future church leaders (and lay leaders as well sometimes).

  2. The NLWV missionaries have been teaching primarily subjects in theology, the Bible books, and other practical subjects for Christian living and seminary training. Occasionally other subjects such as English, world history and geography, etc. were also taught by our missionaries. These courses are all intensive and concentrated (worth two credit hours per semester) entailing 22 and 30 hours of classroom lectures and examinations with or without other writing assignments.

  3. In addition to their teaching task, NLWV missionaries deliver the Bibles, essential references and resource materials for theological studies to the mission fields where they are scarce. Some are new and many reference books are those donated from the personal libraries of retired reformed pastors in the US. Thanks to all these, the library of the Westminster Theological College and Seminary Cambodia (WTCS) houses over 4200 volumes of books, CDs, DVDs, and other reference materials.

Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Kim, as Packing Hope for the Theological Famine Relief for the Global Church by TGC International Outreach, delivered and distributed since 2013 the ESV Global Study Bible and other reference books to WTCS in Cambodia where they visit every year to teach the word of God. It has been the best gift for the prospective preachers, Bible teachers, ministry workers, and the Biblical counselors. Certainly the benefit and the impact of the reference books in the school library is something that no one can count in numbers. Especially now there is no need for students to wait for their turn to use a limited number of the Study Bible in the library since each has his own ESV Study Bible. Praise the LORD, and many thanks to TGC International Outreach.
